Anju Bobby George was born on 19th April 1977 in Kerala. Anju Bobby George- the woman who made the Indians proud, especially women, by winning the very first medal in WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF ATHLETICS. She had been originally motivated and educated by her father. Later she was educated by her coach in Koruthode school. She completed her education in the exact same Koruthode school and completed her graduation from Vimala College. She was married to Robert Bobby George who was a former winner in sports at the federal level. She won her first medal at 1991-1992 athletic meet at the college level.

She was the womens' winner in that meet. She started to scale the winning ladder by winning the collection of metals such as bronze in 100 m relay and battles in national school games. Originally, she began engaging in Heptathlon (mix of seven occasions ) and then she started to concentrate on the skipping events.
