It is currently a massively popular game with hundreds of thousands of players per day. It's very easy to understand and it's actually quite a fun way to waste time.

Agar is a very popular game here in Madonna University, Nigeria. Most of us spend a chunk of our weekends just gaming. We would never have dreamt that a time would come when we could actually earn by playing what we've been playing everyday without any gains. I am delighted beyond words.

It seems more and more gaming is been built on the steem blockchain, first was @steempunknet, which by the way is absolutely awesome, its n MMORPG game built on the steemit network that allows player to battle each other, here steempower is of no relevant when it comes to battle and now we have SteemAgar,
The steem blockchain is going beyond more than blogging and transaction as each day passes and am proud to be a steemian.

Whoa, this is something I hadn't really thought of before. Monetized gaming. I mean, @yumyumseth and I have already bet SBD on some of our FIFA games, but having actually it on the platform is a great initiative. I have friends that I've told about Steemit, but some of them aren't natural content creators and, while they like the idea, don't have a good enough push to get started. I think you hit the nail on the head @cryptoctopus. Gaming is an arena on this blockchain that could really be built out. We have the ability to create most any game on here. It is wonderful to see this appear. While not a gamer myself, I do know it is extremely popular with the younger crowd.
I wrote a post earlier that talked about STEEM as a nation. I should have put in my little life on STEEM in 2028 a part about playing STEEM video games.
This is also a way to target the younger generation.

To be honest, I had never heard of Agar before. I just logged into the latest SteemAgar game and it was the quickest game I've ever played... game over in just a couple of seconds! So then, I googled and tried the Agar game. Now I know how it works... Now I need a rematch :D

I want to start by saying that I love this initiative.
However, as a game developer, I couldn't get behind this project.
I'm just not a fan of clones.
My hope is they end up doing well from the project and are then encouraged to either build upon or maybe even create something original.

Very cool game and would love to play it, but it doesn't look like it's working for me. It probably has something to do with the firewall at my work.
I really like this idea and glad it's getting some well-deserved support and can't wait until this and games like steemnova become more and more options for people to interact with the steem blockchain and earn steem.
