One of 29 Antelope species found in South Africa.

This Antelope was formally widespread throughout Southern Africa found in habitat ranging from forest verge, savanna lands, fynbos, grasslands and desert. They can wander long distances in search of best food and can survive long spells without surface water. Today they are mainly restricted to National Parks and Game Reserves. They live together in herds.

So glad the National Parks and Reserves have made the effort to maintain their herd. They are very clean looking and graceful of form. Thanks for sharing these rarely seen animals with us.

These are some of my favorite antelope, and always a joy to see.

Eland bulls are not available in my country but may be available in zoo

They are still a delight to see, even in captivity.

This ones are bigger than the ones I have seen

These antelope can grow very large in stature. This is the dominant male of the herd and he is therefore the biggest of the herd.

I like the post .very amazing. You are captured good photos. Thank for shaing.

Mmmmm. There are antelopes in Ghana too. I've not seen one before but I have tasted the meat and it is cool.
