While the greater Steemit community views a single pic as a shitpost, there is a need (as pointed out above) for a monetized Instagram for anyone who takes a photo. And a monetized YouTube for anyone who takes a video. And a moneyized meme reader for anyone. So the Steemit community has created Dtube, Steepshot and Dmania. Many more will follow to continue to democratize money-making on social media. And if the whales disapprove, they should work on a solution for hard fork 21.

Wow. I could not agree more. Everyone has their own idea what steemit should look like, but as more and more adopt the platform, it should form around those new users. The whales should see the greater adoption as more legitimacy of the bank where they keep their money.
Communicating that to some of the big investors is hard to do if you want to avoid the thumbs down thing here that kills rep. But we stumble on and try to make everyone happy.

While I do like that Steem branches out to create income-generating versions of our favorite social medias, I do sometimes wish they could be more separated. I am hesitant to use D-Tube and Steepshot, simply because they all end up on Steemit. That is not to say that I am frowning upon your picture though;) It's a pretty cool take on architecture.

I agree with you on the bowl of everything here. That is a problem especially for other countries. Russia got Golos but the rest are all here in a melting pot. I was trying to set one guy up on Steemit (a real estate dev no-less) and his computer was translating everything into Spanish as we changed screens - so much so that user names were translated and links were broken in the process.
We are only going on two years old. We have to see where it goes without discouraging the new users. They are discouraged enough with the goose eggs every day for months until noticed. (you know $0.00).

I just looked at the web version and compared it to my post from the app.
It appears in full length here on Steemit
But on the web version of steepshot, it shows shorter, more like twitter.

For me it's kind of a copy from the Che Guevara in La Habana, Cuba. Do you know the story about that place? Once uppon a time, Evita talked from there to more than a million workers on the street that stayed all day waiting, demanding that she had to accept the candidature for the presidency of Argentina, and from that place, she declined because she had cancer. She was unique.
