Finding an anti-2A person who's actually honest is pretty rare.

Everyone that I've found has simply admitted that he or she lacks the education to answer basic questions.

I have met exactly the same number of people who are anti-2A, who are also honest, educated, and capable of moral consistency as I've met honest, smart, and good writers who support book burning -- zero.

Really, at this point, my only challenge in these debates is deciding whether your arguments are Orwellian or Kafkaesque. Neither are great looks.

You can't be a good person if you're arguing for putting people in prison for years while you can't define the words that you're using to describe what you think should be illegal. You can't be a good person while demanding a person's liberty be taken away while not being able to articulate what the actual charges would be that any potential defendant may have to argue against.

Raise your hand if you're a gun control person who still says that the "AR" in "AR-15" stands for "assault rifle" and demands that they be banned. You're kinda pulling an Orwell there. That's not what it means, and you're advocating for people to be thrown in jail on the basis of words that you don't know.

How many of you think that the pistol brace ban is a good idea? Well, it's downright Stalinist to let non-lawmaking and non-elected agency decide what should land people in prison outside of any democratic process. But, think about having to defend yourself if you're accused of violating this new regulation. Biden was saying that a pistol brace turns a pistol into a gun, and modifies it to fire a larger caliber bullet. That's all nonsense. That's not gonna protect you from facing felony charges just because the whole thing is bullshit. The reading of the statute is more than twenty times longer than this post could possibly be, and doesn't use any clear language. So, if you're charged, it's based on lies and meaningless words -- so, Orwell. If you're defending yourself, your doing so while the people threatening your life and liberty make it deliberately impossible for you to understand the charges -- so, Kafka.

This isn't a good look, people. I don't know how any of you think that it's a good idea to attend a protest against something that you admit that you don't understand from the outset.

Just about every time that I've said something about any policy that was wrong, I've been ridiculed for it. That's fine.

But, hold yourself to the same fucking standards. Hell, being that I'm not the one saying that anybody should go to prison despite not harming anyone, and your the one wanting to put people in prison for simple possession of something that you don't like, you should be holding yourself to a much higher standard for knowing your shit than you hold me.

This isn't a valid debate anymore. If you think that the bans on hollowpoints in places like Massachusetts and New Jersey are good ideas, and you follow up you position by admitting that you have no idea what the difference between a hollowpoint and a full metal jacket round is, you're saying that you're in favor of throwing people in jail for a reason that you can't articulate.

I can tolerate the people who thought that 1984 was a blueprint, to a point. I can tolerate the people who thought that The Trial was a blueprint, to a point. I can even tolerate the people that think that Stalin had some good ideas, and that he just poorly implemented some ot them, to a point.

I can't tolerate all of those things at once, compounded with the clear fact that you have no actual knowledge, all while claiming to be a liberal for two seconds before I withdraw anything resembling respect for you.
