I don't find antivirus for Andorid very effective sometimes it will catch things but I have yet to find an app that is effective at blocking adware. I use Avast currently on my Pixel they have a good App. I've also tried Panda and Bitdefender in the past but Avast has a a really good suite of tools for Android.
