Renowned actor Anupam Kher has revealed his next project, where he will portray the iconic poet Rabindranath Tagore in his 538th film. Making the announcement on Instagram, Anupam shared his excitement with fans and unveiled his first look as the esteemed poet. In a captivating black and white photo, he adorned an ensemble reminiscent of Tagore's distinctive style, complete with white hair and a long beard, effectively capturing the essence of the revered literary figure. Anupam's serious expression added depth to the portrayal, accompanied by the instrumental rendition of Tagore's renowned song "Sokhi, Bhabona Kahare Bole" playing in the background. Expressing his delight at portraying Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in this significant project, Anupam assured fans that more details about the film would be disclosed in due course. Beyond his role as Tagore, Anupam has a thrilling lineup of upcoming films. He will be featured in Anurag Basu's anthology film "Metro In Dino," alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta. Additionally, he will be part of "The Vaccine War," directed by Vivek Agnihotri, which explores India's endeavors to develop a Covid-19 vaccine during the pandemic. Anupam is also set to appear in "Emergency," a directorial venture by Kangana Ranaut that delves into the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
