We d like to welcome BEAUZ back on our collective!
With their release of "No Brainer" being on the verge of hitting 300K plays, we thought it would be a good opportunity to bring this talented duo back with another seasonal hit !
“Midsummer Madness” is a showcase of talent essentially, the Rich Brian and August 08 produced instrumental employs a subdued, retro melody, which allows each contributor to shine. The concept seems to evoke memories of love lost, thus taking on a somewhat melodramatic quality. Still, it s easy listening all the same.
Joji , notably, sings higher than usual, which is refreshing. He s moody, yet the sound of the record is relatively bright.
Rich Brian arrives for the second verse, reminiscing on sex and physical, disregarding the ‘rules’ of a relationship.
Our duo decided to add an electronic flavor into the mix by creatively putting together a breathtaking drop.
A strong and distorted bass to contrast well with the bright yet emotional vibe of the original instrumental, vocal chops sampled from Joji and Rich Brian s verse and chorus beautifuly put together for an addicting lead melody, all followed by background shouts and an accoustic guitar to spice it up .
We re then surprised by an anthem-like brass lead in the second part of the drop, almost as if they were using the first half of the drop as ש chill "build-up" for a more exciting and uplifting second half !
We ve seen this formula used in their remix of "No Brainer" as well and it s a really unique way of putting the audience on an emotional and musical roalercoaster of vibes and melodies !
