Bible encouragement: Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly. John 7:24

After his meeting with a Samaritan woman to whom Jesus teaches her the source of "living water", Jesus goes up to Jerusalem and there he makes a sign, heals a paralyzed man in a pool called Betsana, but it is Saturday, and Jesus doing the healing, breaks with the Law of Moses. This provokes the hatred of the religious authorities: "So because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. In his defense Jesus said to them, ´My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.´ For this reason tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.", John 5:16-18.
Jesus as a spiritual leader opposes the religious and cultural oppression of his enemies: spirituality versus religion. Jesus with this sign is saying that the Kingdom of God (the empire, the government of the divine perfections) is a message of salvation for the oppressed and that he is the true source of life.
Sometime after the healing and during the feast of the huts, and teaching in the Temple, Jesus explains to the common people that they should not judge according to the flesh, that is, according to appearances; because we cannot enter the Kingdom of God by the law of Moses, but by the conversion of the heart:
"Jesus said to them, ´I did one miracle, and you are all amazed. Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath. Now if a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing a man's whole body on the Sabbath? Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.´", John 7:21-24.

The Kingdom of God, according to the bible, is in essence the ethical and spiritual change of man, the passage from the darkness of sin to righteousness of heart.
