It was such a cool experience! An older man was feeding the birds in the park and gave us a little birdseed to feed the pigeons and parakeets. I noticed a parakeet in one of the trees and, sure enough, it came right over when I put out my hand.

That's very cool. We have a bunch of parks around here where chickadees and sparrows will land in your hand for seeds, but nothing interesting like a parakeet... I guess it's all relative to what you grew up with.
