... life we knew changed and we had to adapt ourselves to a new one.
So let's #spreadthesparkle how we created our new life.
What we can't change:
From one day to another, we as a family of 4 and a dog have been locked in our house 24/7 and that for more then 2 weeks now.
Gone, the walks around the neighborhood with the kids riding the bikes, sitting down at the park having a beer in the terrace and enjoying the soft sun of February.
Gone, the routine of the working week where the kids get to school in the morning and we tackle our projects.
Gone, the date night we had every Saturday where our nanny took care of the kids for some hours and we had time for us & meeting friends.
What we can change:
Focusing the time on family only. Sitting together with the kids and making plans what we can do during lock down times.
Here we are, building up the tent in the kids room, using the corridor as a racetrack, painting the terrace with colorful chalk art and reading more books in a day then in a week before.
Here we are, setting up daily German lessons with the grandparents using Skype while I keep on working wearing t-shirt and slippers.
Here we are, meeting so many new people who are living next door but we have never spoken nor seen them before. We are meeting at the windows, having chats and some drinks together.
The positive sparkle of these desperate times is that we all come closer together. We as neighbors, as family and couples. We are more concentrated on the basics and necessary things and we taking more care of each other.
We are missing the old way of our lifes but enjoy the present to the fullest and making even bigger plans for the future.
As always, special times require special changes and this includes the time after. We are looking forward to it and we wish everyone the strength and love to go there with us.
The photo was taken on the last Saturday before the lock down when we took the metro down to the center to spend some time for us.
