This is my favourite part of Thanksgiving. So delicious and easy to make .....

Recipe:

10 cups Bread, cubed
2 cups Celery, finely diced
1 cup Butter, melted
1 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Parsley, dried
1 tsp Marjoram
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Sage
1/2 tsp Poultry Seasoning
1/3 cup Onions
5-6 Potatoes, peeled and boiled

Brown or sauté onions and celery in butter then add spices and bread cubes and mix well. Boil peeled potatoes in a medium pot, mash and add potatoes to bread mixture.

Cook over low heat and add some gravy from the turkey to moisten the mixture. If there is not enough gravy, then add some water from the boiled potatoes.

You remind me that Thanksgiving is coming up, and that I need to cook some stuffing as well! I'm going to start to call your post too. :)

Oh I am definitely going to give that a try! Grannies recipes are ALWAYS good! I actually bought a chicken to stuff and roast for our dinner tomorrow... perhaps I will give it a go. My moms stuffing involves pork sausage meat so its a tough call admittedly hahaha!!!

Yes.. This one is definitely vegetarian if you don’t use the Turkey gravy. Almost vegan if you can find a substitute for butter.
