THERE is one feature in the Apple Watch that has not been discussed too much. This feature is SOS. But in fact, that feature some time ago showed its role.
Quoting from Ubergizmo , Thursday (10/15/2020), a man in the United States who had a car accident received help after using the SOS feature on the Apple Watch.
According to the NBC24 report , a volunteer firefighter named Hunter Sanner was involved in a car accident. Where when colliding with another car, the airbag expands and the cellphone bounces off somewhere.
Sanner was confused about how to ask for help. But it turns out that he is still wearing the Apple Watch. Then use the SOS feature to ask for help.
He said help came within minutes with his wife Laurel. This is thanks to the smartwatch's SOS feature which not only calls 911, but also sends an alert to Sanner's emergency contacts such as his wife, telling him his exact location so they know where to find him.
It did not say how serious the injury to Sanner was in the accident, but he is grateful that his smartwatch helped him call for help quickly.
"A lot of people don't know that it is an option, and it is something very important that can honestly save someone's life," said Sanner.
