There was a distinct lack of crowds at Apple Stores for the launch of the iPhone 8. We put this down to anticipation for the iPhone X and the fact that these days Apple fans tend to order products online for delivery. However, in the run up to the on-sale date of the iPhone X, Apple is hinting that it might be a good idea to head to an Apple Store early if you want to get an iPhone X.
"iPhone X will be available in more than 55 countries and territories, and in Apple Stores beginning Friday, November 3 at 8:00 a.m. local time. Stores will have iPhone X available for walk-in customers, who are encouraged to arrive early."
The shortage may stretch beyond launch day. There have been reports that suppliers will struggle to meet anticipated demand for the iPhone X ahead of the Christmas and January sales rush.
