Hi there everybody....
Over the past few months,
YouTube is considered a place not suitable for children, even with filter features though. YouTube is considered pretending to be family-friendly content and also featuring conspiracy theories that can be accessed by children.
Reported by Engadget, some time ago according to BuzzFeed, this platform plans to take a more direct approach forward by releasing a new version of children's apps, featuring only videos and channels selected by the YouTube curator team.
This video sharing site is trying to clean up the website and has attracted hundreds of thousands of videos and comments that exploit children.
However, if the algorithm still recommends conspiracy theories (including flat Earth and lunar lunar landings) and disrupts videos for children, then its cleaning efforts will be in vain.
However, YouTube's move to showcase selected content by the curator team deserves appreciation. Apps that only display curated content can convince parents that their children will not find anything inappropriate.
YouTube will give parents the freedom to choose.
BuzzFeed says they will be able to switch between the standard version of the app with the recommended video algorithm and the curated version.
The platform does not confirm or refute the report, but publication sources say this version of the 'whitelist' app could be available in the coming weeks.
As of March 2018 it was reported that YouTube Kids is a video platform service for kids. Nevertheless, the video presented seems not yet completely safe from content enjoyed by children.
Digitaltrends revealed that YouTube Kids has been criticized for allowing violent and inappropriate cartoons to appear on the platform.
Business Insider reports that YouTube Kids face content issues with other types by suggesting videos involving conspiracy theories to children.
For example, the search term "UFO" carries a lot of videos about toys, which are entirely within the scope of YouTube Kids. However, one of the top videos illustrates UFO allegations with a trail of 'chemtrails' behind it.
The suggested videos also feature some videos guided by conspiracy theory David Icke.
Thoose some information can be conveyed, hopefully providing new guidance and insight for all of us, especially for parents in protecting their daughters in accessing the internet from sites that can cause poor childhood morality.
Thank you for everything.

Yes, I agree, lots of 'conspiracy theory' videos!
I have not seen them remove or block any from the kids: they are still free to watch msnbc; cnn; bbc and all the other fake news sites.
