Hello @okiedokieboy,

Let's try to be factual on your legitimate question:

  1. You can not create a DTube account if you have not a Steem account so far
  2. If you are posting a content, and you have opportunity to be rewarded both in Steem and DTC (DTube Coins), how many people will only choose DTC (same post, same effort) ?

Put in another way: Steem will benefit from new DTubers, and DTube benefits from Steemians.

So why oppose DTube and Steem, whereas they two decentralized projects helping one another?

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

Sort Order:

Because they do not understand how free software works. How they are given a gift of free code to do whatever they want with. They are used to being enslaved by google and think we are the next master. That's not the case.

Ok, I was misinformed about account creation, I thought you could bypass creating a steem account, thanks for letting me know clearly unlike @heimindanger having a temper-tantrum.

as for point #2, are you saying that every post I make through dtube gets uploaded through steem? so I'd earn DTC and STEEM for each post?

if so, curious as to what purpose DTC will serve? once i get these coins, why are people gonna buy them from me, what's their value?

The purpose of DTC is to only focus on videos, and have big influence with it in the video sector. While the Steem is more a general token that lacks liquidity for video sector, liquidity can be compared to YouTube clicks, even smaller players can reward you with lots of value, while that is harder on Steem
