Men are Everything

This is not a MISOgynistic topic so don't beat MISO hard.

Men they say are the backbone of the society.. Okay, truth be told, no one said that. But really, the importance of men in the not just the workforce but the global sphere CANNOT be overstressed. It would just be nice to appreciate their (our 😄) efforts in making the world a better place for all.

Throughout history, we have had great men which the world have been privileged know. Talk about Albeit Eistein, the german born theoretical physicist famously known for his E=mc² equation and whose discoveries have helped in shaping the science world or our very own @ned, the founder of this blockchain. We have never, for once, ceased to amaze the world.

Truth be told, "It takes two to tango" doesn't work where marriage is concerned nowadays. The average man is expected to singularly shoulder the financial responsibility in a marriage setting.. From providing for the children's upkeep, to stocking the kitchen with food stuffs. In fact, most women now quantify their love by the pocket of their potential husband. So not only is the financial responsibility high, the expectations are quite enormous. But we (men) have been able to deal with that.

While most women are relaxing in a typical air conditioned office, men are often assigned to do the dangerous jobs.. Need I say that most of our practical engineers are constituted by men. We are to contend with the scorching sun that sends sweats dripping of the skin, the tedious heaps of jobs they need to till. No breathing space for us.

We are caring and nice too.

It was in 2015 during the deadly Ebola wave and the macabre aura. It brought some nations like Liberia and Guinea to its knees. Neighbouring countries stepped up their protection against the deadly disease on their borders as the affected countries dinked further into chaos. No sooner had the tensions heightened than it seeped its way into Nigeria, a country populated by 180 million people, my country. It started at the airport when someone(Name withheld) from Liberia unfortunately infected health workers who came to the rescue. They began to fall ill one by one until it hit Justina Ejelonu, a fiancée of Dennis. It was a terrible moment for the duo and considering the great risk here, it could have prompted a run. Dennis stood by her and made sure she was well taken care of. He had to clean up her mess as he visited his love of life in the hospital daily.

In his own words.

The last day I saw her, I had to go inside the ward because she was so unkempt as nobody attended to her. At that time, the quarantined patients were in the former facility where there was no water and she had messed up herself again. I had to look for water to clean her up.

Since I was aware of what I was dealing with, I got myself protected while cleaning up the place. I made sure she looked better than when I saw her.

No one would want to go through that. Alas! He lost her. But she, wherever she is now, would be happy for having such a caring man.

This incident touched me at that time and as I could never imagine the trauma that man went through for the sake of his love. Men are caring, men are nice, men are workaholics, men are everything and we will continue to make the world a better place.
