Leave me to my own devices in a studio for 20 minutes with a stunning model and a camera rotation device and this is what happens!
Shot entirely in the dark in a studio, the softboxed strobe lit the model on full power for the main "Scarlett." I then capped the lens without ending the exposure. I reduced the power of the studio light to the next power setting down, rotated the camera, removed the lens cap and fired the flash. I then repeated the process lowering the power on each flash to create a graduated effect on each rotation. It took some experimentation but luckily I had a very patient model who kept very still during the process!
This image was created in one photographic exposure and is not a Photoshop creation. The camera used was a Sony A7 full frame camera with a Sony Zeiss 16-35mm lens, a studio light and a camera rotation tool.
