So, a few years ago, I played a particularly nasty April Fools day joke on my brother.. he does the Lotto whenever the jackpot gets quite high, and he always does a quick pick...
So, I decided to set him up. I knew he was going to be at my house on April Fools on the night of the Lotto draw... He had forgotten about the draw itself, and usually just checks the numbers on his phone later in the evening or the next day, or whenever he thinks of it..
So on the evening of the draw for 15 Million Euros, I popped out at around 19:45 to buy us some beers in the local shop, and my brother waited at my house, with some other friends, listening to music.
Unknown to my brother, I was recording the Lotto draw that would take place at 20:00. While I was at the shop, I waited until the Lotto draw was made, and when the numbers were drawn, I then went to the Lotto counter, and picked these exact numbers, and put them on for the next draw 4 days later...
When I got back to the house, I managed to distract my brother, so that I could swap the new Lotto ticket I had bought for his one, then I sneaked into the sitting room, and set up the recording, and called my friends and my brother in, saying the Lotto draw is on for the big jackpot...
I still remember the numbers, and his reactions as it went along were priceless, I just wish I had recorded it too!!

"Holy god, I have 29 too lads, that's a €50 minimum I'm after winning"

"You can't be serious" He was on his knees now, and I was starting to feel pretty guilty about my prank, but he has caught me with loads over the years, and would have had no hesitation using this one on me had he thought of it first!!

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I've done it, I feckin knew I'd win some day, and do you know when I was putting these on, I had a feeling..."
I had to interject then, I couldn't let the cruelty go any further....
"John" I said "April Fools"
He just looked at me, dumbfounded...
"How do you mean?" he says
I explained my cunning plan, and he wasn't one bit impressed, from tears of joy to bull thick in seconds!! It took him a while to get over it, but we have some laugh about it today, and he admits that it was a great one, and he's have done the same to me, if he'd thought of it.. and he says on the plus side, he knows what it feels like to win the lottery!!!!
