Buthidaung: Once again an innocent Rohingya was trapped and arrested by Burmese authorities with a fabricated case to extort money in a village of Buthidaung Township on 3rd March 2019, reports a local source.

In Yar Gone village tract Muhammed Zabir S/O Shofi Ullah was arrested by Burmese investigation officials with an accusation of a case made up by them and demanded a huge sum of money in return of releasing him.
Later to secure his life he had to pay the authorities 230, 000 Kyats and after paying the amount finally, he was heard to be in his village.

This is not at all a new scene in the remaining villages of Arakan (Rakhine), where Burmese armed forces can accuse any Rohingya with any fabricated case.
Arrest and Money extortion are rooted genocidal tools on Rohingya since decades and till today they are paying the price of living in their own ancestral land.
