The dead victim was a Rohingya refugee who drowned and died while returning from collecting firewood. According to locals, he drowned while crossing a water body near the Musoni camp area in Cox’sBazaar.   He went out at early morning to collect firewood and since then he went missing. Later other nearby Rohingya went in search of him and they found his dead body floating on the river at evening time.   Details of the incident and identification of the victim is yet unknown. Although nobody eye witnessed his death in the water body, but due to high water waves locals believe that he drowned and died there.   These sort of tragic incidences are increasing the fear of the Rohingya day by day, as monsoon's harsh conditions, worse roads and many other factors have added the sufferings of the Rohingya to an intolerable level.   Earlier in late 2017, military atrocities forced more than 800, 000 Rohingya to neighboring Bangladesh, where hundreds of Rohingya drowned and died while crossing the Naff River in their desperate journey.
