Leading Politician and cricketer Imran Khan’s Party Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) secured 48 percent of the votes and got 113 seats out of 272 National Assembly constituencies.
Opposition party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, led by the brother of ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has just won 64 constituencies. Remaining 95 seats were won by other minor parties.
After winning the maximum seats, he appealed to his rivals to join hands with him to develop Pakistan. And he vowed to hold talks with India to seek a resolution to the dispute over the Kashmir region, a key flash point between the nuclear-armed countries.
He also called for "mutually beneficial" ties with the United States, despite being an outspoken critic of that country's anti-terrorism measures in the region, such as drone strikes.
Imran Khan, the winner of the Pakistan general election and an arising new politician is seen to be a heartbeat of the nation, with a ray of hope for the formation of a new Pakistan.
Besides Pakistanis, he have also taken deep places in the hearts of Rohingya by his strong voice and awareness on the Rohingya plight.
After a massive massacre started on 25th August 2017 in Arakan (Rakhine) state, he immediately expressed his deep concern on the ongoing Rohingya massacre.
“Shameful how the world, esp the Muslim World, is ignoring the plight of the Rohingyas” tweeted Imran, on 31st Aug 2017.
Further, Imran Khan also condemned the silence and inaction of the United Nation (UN) on the genocide and the plight of the Rohingya minority in Myanmar in an open letter to UN Secretary General António Guterres on 9th September 2017.

The open letter recalls that early in June 2015 also, Imran Khan had written a letter to the UN in the same, but nothing happened and now this hideous cycle is repeating itself as the international community stands silent observer.
“The principle of humanitarian intervention was specifically added to the UN mandate in the face of the Rwandan genocide, but the UN has once again failed to protect people from persecution and genocide: this time the Rohingyas of Myanmar,” Khan added.
“I call on you, as the Secretary General, to move the UN Security Council to end the persecution and genocide of Rohingyas within Myanmar and to bring to an end their inhumane plight as starving, disease-ridden refugees are denied basic shelter, under Chapter VII of the UN Charter,” he said further in the letter.
Rohingya have been always very supportive to Imran Kahna and stayed as a loyal citizen in Pakistan, where more than 100000s are residing since the separation of East - West Pakistan.
Rohingya residing in Pakistan sees him as a game changer leader and hopes of policy reforms towards the suffering Rohingya. With the hope they also want Pakistan constant support towards the Rohingya plight.
Rohingya dispersed all around the world heart fully congratulate him for his victory and are very hopeful towards his promises. They hope the change and creation of a thoughtful, new and dynamic society in Pakistan.
