Buthidaung: Buthidaung general administrator and Mogh (Rakhine) in-charges collaboratively exploit money and other materials assisted by the government for the local Rohingya survivors, including holding them back and prevents international NGOs' access to them, report sources.

Mogh (Rakhine) ethnic staff constitutes of 90% in Buthidaung Township administration department and there are 60% of Mogh (Rakhines) in village administration level, including administrators and secretaries.
This maximum percentage made it easier for them to enjoy full freedom in exploiting the assistance. In any distribution cases of goods or cash, they hold back shares for themselves first.   Read more on Rakhine Hardliners: http://www.rvisiontv.com/rohingya-property-plundered-by-rakhine-hardliners/

There were about 200 pregnant women listed, whom were to be assisted. Later in distribution it was only around 100 women whom were seen to be benefited.

When asked about the other 100 women, the in-charges lied and said that the rest of women were not included in the list.

Moreover, the beneficiary women also received only half of the due amount of money and other materials.

According to locals, each woman received 20 - 30 thousand Kyats instead of 30 - 45 thousands. The women who deserves 75 - 90 thousand Kyats also received only 40 - 60 thousands.

Government has also allocated agricultural expenses, but up till now only 15 tracts have received the expenses out of total 85 tracts in the list.

Although, there are aids received from International NGOs since long time ago, but they still kept them undistributed even in this dire situation of the remaining Rohingya.

“These are they ways how the local authorities and Rakhine in-charges persecute the remaining survivors of genocide to force them out” commented a local elderly.

Since the beginning of genocidal operation in late 2017, more than 800, 000 Rohingya were forced to flee the northern Arakan (Rakhine) region towards neighboring Bangladesh.
