'In Bavaria in Germany alone we have found about 700 meters in length such underground tunnels. Austria, Styria, found at 350. Across Europe there were thousands of these tunnels, from Scotland in the north to the Mediterranean Sea, "- said the archaeologist.
According to him, these tunnels are relatively narrow, about 70 centimeters wide - it is such that through them, a person could pass. In some places there are small rooms, the peculiar feature pack something in, or sit down.

While many believe that the Stone Age people were primitive, such as the phenomena of the epoch Egyptian pyramids, Stonehenge, or 12 000 years old temple of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey showcases stunning then people astronomical knowledge. Thus, it is hardly to be regarded primitive.

However, the real purpose of these tunnels are still unsolved mystery.

Some scientists believe that an underground canal that era were supposed to protect people from predators or enemy attacks, and maybe from dangerous weather phenomena. Requirements and other hypotheses, but it is obvious that the answer will be found during a long way.
