One one my many hobbies is following the steps of our ancestors from the Bronze Age.

Bryn Cader Faner is a Bronze Age round cairn near the village of Talsarnau on the east coast of Wales UK. Noted as being one the most Beautiful Bronze Age sites in the UK.

The views of the cairn are spectacular and is part of the Taith Ardudwy Way.

The cairn itself is 8.7 metres in diameter, one the largest I have witnessed. There are currently 18 sticky out stones at around 2 mertres in length each, however there were more but some were removed during the World War. Some of these pillars also have quartz viens runing through them which often goes hand in hand with druids.

Opportunists raided the cairn and robbed a cist or grave and just left a hole. I found a shell when I visited.

Although no formal excavation has taken place it is believed to be around 4000 years old.
