It is a strange thing to see a building from its birth to its completion. But the Hearst Tower has given me this privilege . Somehow it’s strange to realize that you are older than such an architectural gem. I remember when it was being erected thinking its skeleton to be strange and foreign, but it seems to have been only the beginning of a change in Manhattan. After this building’s completion I began to notice more buildings created with glass. Can it be true that the future holds glass cities? Will New York one day become Emerald City, is Crystal Tokyo next?
