Weekly Architectural Photography Contest - If Statues Could Talk

Here is my entry for @juliank weekly architectural photography contest. This photo was taken at Wentworth Woodhouse Gardens in South Yorkshire England. It was built in the late 18th century. I have a fascination with run down buildings and odd features.

Time is etched upon this scene and you can't help but wish for the secrets and stories of the centuries prior to be revealed to you.

Great pic! I love picture of old barns & building! Ohh to be a fly on the wall when they were new!

oh I agree. I've got relatives that want to tear down the old vintage sheds and building on their property and I'm like "are you crazy!" The best is when you find little scraps of the story through handed down stories or vintage newspapers.

@walkerland, amazing capture. I've recently read one of your gardening posts about seeds. I was pretty much amazed. We at our school also have a presarvatory of seeds with thousands of them from all around the globe. Forgot to mention that in my last post. Nice to see you around, very nice content. I will be coming back. All the best, @keyss.

I'm glad you liked the post. It sounds like you have a lot of knowledge in that area yourself. I would love to read more about your schools presarvatory of seeds, if you haven't written a post about you should! I would love to know more about the school and its program.

@walkerland, I will be writing about it then. Stay tuned. :) I will be more than happy to read yours as well.
