This is one of the first passive house projects in France. Architects form Karawitz Architecture have created a beautiful and minimalistic wooden clad house that is very energy efficient.
Thick thermal envelope ensures that the heat losses are low. South oriented windows generate passive solar gains resulting in very low 15 kWh/m2 per year heating need.
Heat recovery ventilation unit ensures that a constant fresh air is delivered to all rooms without loosing energy.
Ecology can be beautiful and economic!
