By 2050, amazing 6.5 billion people will live in cities, two-thirds of the world's population. As a result, urban planning agencies are developing revolutionary redevelopment projects around the world to ensure that as usual people as reasonable have access to housing, public resources, parks, schools and the metro. The size of Paris, Tokyo, and New York will be very different in the coming decades. Take a look at eleven of the world's most massive megaprojects:
1. Shanghai, China - Toontown
Toontown is a mixed development that is currently under construction in the Minhang district of the Chinese city of Shanghai. It includes 1,000 apartments, a commercial center of 1.3 million square meters, 580,000 square meters of retail space, 1.5 million square meters of offices and a cultural center of 53,000 square meters. When finished, the development will be many greeners, such as green roofs and a set of mini-parks that will be there everywhere. It should cost $ 1.5 billion.
2. Cairo, Egypt - New Cairo Capitalmega Projects
This massive development is currently to the east of the city center of Cairo, the capital of Egypt. In an area of
270 square kilometers, New Cairo Capital will house 21 new residential neighborhoods with more than 5 million inhabitants. The $ 45 billion project launched in 2015 is funded primarily by Chinese developers. There will be 1,250 mosques and churches, 2,000 schools and colleges, more than 600 medical facilities and what should be the most significant park in the world. Construction began in 2015 and is expected to be completed by 2022.
3. Paris, France - City of Europe
The city of Europe, which is about 8.6 million square meters, is a mixed development under construction north of central Paris. It was designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, a Danish architectural firm, which is also behind the design of Google's headquarters in California. The $ 3.4 billion project includes Plazas, an artificial ski slope, open bridges and a new transit system, as well as homes, shops and restaurants. Europa City must be connected to the city of Paris and disrupt the city center. Construction began in 2016 and should be completed by 2024.
4. Berlin, Germany - Europacity
Europacity should not be confused with the development of the European city of Paris. It is a mixed settlement of 100 hectares, built near the central station of Berlin. It is about to become a new commercial and residential center that will include 2,000 apartments, 4.3 million square meters of offices and businesses, a promenade, streets, bridges and a public square. The projected cost of the project, which began in 2014, is not known. The Berliners protest against the rapid gentrification of their city, and the development of Europacity is later in the line of fire.
5. Istanbul, Turkey - New city of Istanbul
This development was approved by the Metropolitan Council of Istanbul in April 2016. There are approximately 50,000 apartments in seven towers on one of the last remaining land extensions in the center of Istanbul. In the area of 93.6 million square meters, there is also a shopping mall, parking for 6,200 cars, a cinema, an ice skating rink and an airport, which should be the largest in the world. Although the planned completion date is unknown, the airport has only attracted about $ 6 billion in funds.
6. New York, USA. UU. - The World Trade Center site
The terrorist assaults of September 11, 2001, which shocked the world, have been almost entirely renewed. A World Trade Center stands proudly as the heart of the site. Other buildings include the 4 World Trade Center, 7 World Trade Center, a new transit center and a monument and museum on 11-S. Three other towers, a small church and a performing arts center are still under construction and should be ready by 2020.

Newhall Ranch is a community in Santa Clarita Valley, Los Angeles County, United States. By 2035, approximately 21,500 residential units will remain included in district capacity. These range from single-family homes to apartments or apartments occupied by their owners. Although the project lasted initially proposed in 1994, the resistance of environmentalists was surprising, arguing that the $ 14 billion project would cause devastating damage to the local ecosystem. With the first two villages, each with 5,500 homes and 2.5 million square meters of commercial space to be planned as the early parts of development, construction is underway.
8. São Paulo, Brazil - The new master plan of the city

The project is expected to be completed by 2025 and cover 8 million square feet and be the center of the Nine Elms neighborhood in London. It includes apartments, hotels, and offices, and construction works are carried out in seven phases. The apprentice of the complex will be Apple Inc., which will move its London headquarters to Battersea in 2021.
