The Tulia house in Kenya

in architecture •  7 years ago

The Tulia House is a family home designed by architect Alberto Morell Sixto. This home is in Kenya on a cliff of coral facing the Indian Ocean.

The architect drew on traditional building techniques to create the Tulia House. The monumental staircase of ten meters wide open on a courtyard and the lower floor, allows a natural ventilation and offers an incredible view. The architect used the local mahogany joinery to make the doors and separations of the house.
