This is a competition I did recently.
It is set in a memorial forest Dotršćina in Zagreb, dedicated to fascism victims during WWII.
The deadliest war in human history has taken 60,000,000 lives.
This work deals with the theme of suffering and the futility of human victims.
the spatial installation conceived as a high pillar that,with its scale, visually represents the number of victims in total.
The column is dimensioned in such a way that one centimeter of its height represents 100 000 victims.

The idea is represented in the contrast of a slit in the pillar and its total height.
The installation is robust, concrete.
A slit, not even visible, represents such a vast number of victims.

In the end, every victim is a victim, no matter which side you take.
A peaceful forest.
Sixty million souls in it.
