I had read in apocrypha, Jesus was asked the question by His female followers, 'How long will men have problems in this world?' The response they got was, as long as you (women) continue having babies. Jesus had many female followers.
I was taught recently, we are hardwired as men to believe our solution lies in one woman after the other. Might explain why we chase so many women. Likewise, women are drawn to maternity and the desire to have or continue to have babies; despite the arduous menstruation and childbirth process. The monthly reminders of gut wrenching pain followed by life changing, nine months gestation does not stop new generations from being born.
