New Delhi: Jorge Sampaoli’s Argentina will take on the FIFA World Cup 2018 host-Russia on Saturday in an international friendly. Interestingly Sampaoli have left former Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain despite his stellar form for Juventus netting 9 goals in his last 17 games.

Although Sampaoli asserted that Higuain will feature in Argentina’s World Cup squad, the 57-year-old Argentine overlooked Higuain opted for Mauro Icardi and Dario Benedetto as his strikers in absence of injured Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero against Ecuador in ther World Cup Qualifier campaign which they won 3-1.
Sampaoli have hinted that Aguero might return to feature in the starting XI in Moscow, as Inter striker Icardi is out with injury.
