Project status

We are aware that a few weeks have gone since our last weekly; we have been working not only on all the improvements that the first release of Arker: The Legend of Ohm needed, but on everything that is around the project: from the planning of the future of the project (future features, release in Steam, …) to the search for funding for the marketing campaign that we have been preparing since the launch.

During this time some of you have asked us for the status of the project and we really appreciate your patience; the next release of the game is ready to be submitted for review to the respective platform stores.

v1.2.0

Patience has its rewards. Along these weeks we have been working not only to reach the promised version 1.1.0, but we have advanced to a later version: 1.2.0. This version comes with the promised improvements as well as a lot of improvements and bug fixes that you have been reported to us during this time.

Here you have just some of the changes that this new version will bring:

  • New function: Tickets
  • New function: Achievements
  • Now the multiplication of the energy used by the ability skill in each turn is shown (the result only in training mode)
  • Remarked when the player's turn starts
  • Players can now recruit more than three heroes
  • Fix bug: Button to flip all abilities when opening an ark
  • Fix bug: Position of the player in the ranking when it was after the top 50
  • Fix bug: Sometimes, at the end of a game, the device remains vibrating
  • Fix bug: Sometimes players lose by timeout
  • Fix bug: Sometimes the abilities of the selected hero were not properly listed
  • Fix bug: Many other minor bugs have been fixed
  • We have improved performance in some sections of the game

Tickets

Tickets are a new element in the game; depending on the type of ticket, will allow the player to do actions like getting an ark, creating a clan, recruiting a hero (the first three heroes still don't require a ticket) or venturing into the depths of the rift in the future history mode.

The tickets will be available for purchase for ARKER in the game store, but you will also be able to get tickets in other ways that will be announced very soon.

Achievements

Achievements are small missions for your heroes through which you can get interesting rewards like tickets or even some ARKER. Sometimes temporal achievements allow you to get exclusive abilities or items - stay tuned to not miss one!

Release

This new release 1.2.0 has just finished the testing phase by our team and will soon be submitted for review to the App Store and the Play Store. Once it has been accepted in both stores we will be able to enable the update simultaneously for both platforms. Thanks again for your patience!

What's next

Our next big goal are three very important points: the story mode, new classes and a large collection of abilities and objects. Soon we will be able to reveal the first drafts of the soul hunter (provisional name) in which the art team is already working since a few weeks ago.

And as we mentioned at the start, we're still working on a combined marketing campaign (for iOS, Android and Steam) for the launch of the game on Steam. At this moment we are looking for external funding that allows us to make a great campaign for the game to reach all possible channels to the general public (not just cripto-enthusiasts).
