A boat capsized on Red River as storms rolled into the Shreveport-Bossier City area.
Authorities confirm it happened about 2:37 p.m. Sunday near Red River South Marina.
That's about five miles south of the Jimmie Davis Bridge on the Bossier Parish side of the river.
A manager there confirms that those who were on the boat have been rescued and are safe.
A couple said they spent about 10 minutes in the water after heavy waves flipped their boat, tossing them into the river.
Their boat was disabled due to a malfunction and was being towed in when it capsized.
The man and woman were rescued by the person towing their boat.
Elsewhere, wind gusts associated with the storms also downed trees and power lines throughout the area.
No injuries have been reported.
