How the unit of life that is called cell works, is really beyond our imagination. A cell is also a functional and structural unit of all living organisms. Different types of organs in our body are formed by the specificity of cells. A nerve cell has a long body as its function is to transmit messages to the body organs. A muscle has a property to contract and relax according to the need. Cells in the stomach have ability to release some kind of enzymes that helps in digestion. The bone cells called osteocytes have many fibres in between them to provide support. Hence function of cell is related to its structure.
