I just want to share the 2015 trip I had with bestfriend Abbey.
We went to Armenia.
Where is Armenia? For a simple traveller like me I would point it out to you in a few words - near Turkey squished between Azerbaijan and Georgia (think of Tbilisi not US). (Quick read at : https://www.worldatlas.com/as/am/where-is-armenia.html)
According to the Armenian Travel Bureau (http://www.atb.am/en/armenia/culture/religion/) "94% of the country considers themselves as Armenian Christians". So churches and chapels are everywhere.
We went first to Gyumri - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyumri
Where: We stayed at My Home - yep the name is indeed as you see it. It is really a house. The mom of the owner is very warm and she was the one who helped us through when we arrived in Gyumri. (https://www.booking.com/hotel/am/my-home.en-gb.html?aid=356999;label=gog235jc-hotel-XX-am-myNhome-unspec-ae-com-L%3Aen-O%3AwindowsS10-B%3Achrome-N%3AXX-S%3Abo-U%3AXX-H%3As;sid=45d7f1f2a2a5121a82520b131731af36;dist=0&sb_price_type=total&type=total&)
I still missed using AC because when the windows are closed (cats) my room was toasty (sob)
Loitering around the Center of the Municipality
If you are in Gyumri better go around too. Since we went only for an overnight experience, we happen to find this on our way out.

I will continue with Tsaghadzor next
