Felony Arraignment Procedure

in arraignment •  7 years ago

The felony arraignment process is a little different than that of the misdemeanor arraignment process, but still, not a very long process normally. What this means is, you have either had a preliminary hearing that you have either lost or waived or you have been indicted by the Grand Jury. It means you are on the other side of one of those two things, and now this is your arraignment. In Maricopa County arraignments are usually handled in bulk, so this will usually be a very quick process. At this point, the judge will set release conditions and hopefully, your attorney was working on this before you appeared at the hearing. The arraignment is simply the formal hearing where you will enter a plea of guilty or not guilty.
