Painting birds always brings back the happiness of childhood! But also a pure joy for painting specific to my Adult state of mind.

A watercolor is really finished only after it has been framed. A double passepartout offers depth to painting and protects it over time.

So sweet little bird! And lovely watercolor.

Thank you very much @kalemandra for your comment! :)

That is so amazing! They are such cute little birdies and you really nailed all the feathers details :)

Thank you! :)

I have a great fondness for Robins. I have painted some myself.
I really love your watercolour as it reminds me of my little garden buddy, Ragnar. He follows me everywhere. You have really captured his character.

Ragnar is a Robin living in your garden? This is really cool! As far as I know they are migrating birds. I often see them in my garden and they are wonderful.

I must post a photo of him at some time. He is here all year round. He follows me from the front to the back, and side gardens.
He stays very close by and chatters incessantly, especially if I talk to him... I do a lot of clicks and "bird chatter" noises...he always answers. He will happily be only inches away from me as I work. He totally trusts me.
When I go out I call him and click, and he's there immediately. So sweet. If I don't go out he comes to the window looking for me.

Oh, but that's great! What a beautiful friendship you have with such a small and delicate bird. You have to dedicate an article to your Ragnar! :) I saw some videos about people feeding hummingbirds. When I was a child, I was feeding pigeons in my palm, but I did not know that a robin could be so friendly. Thank you for sharing this!

This is just all in all lovely! :-)

Thank you Peter! ;-)

Beautiful control of watercolor your eye for light and color is Devine.

I'm glad you like it!
