Art Street / Silent Disco

ArtStreet was a temporary exhibit held in Downtown Sacramento area. Featuring 100+ artists and performers. Focused on local Sacramento artist, but even artist from around the globe came to share and express them selves through their desired medium.

Art Street was a temporary event that ran for a month. You could spend hours walking through the old warehouse where art was displayed.
Many other types of art occurred during the event period. Dancers, break dancers, acrobatics, aerial silks artist, came through to collaborate and share their passion with Downtown Sacramento.

In the evenings the music was always happening! DJs and musicians performed and entertained the people walking around the exhibit.
Even silent disco!

This event was put on by M5Arts. This was the same group that set up the event, Art Hotel. Art Hotel was an event that allowed artist to display their art in an old hotel building that would soon be demolished and reconstructed.

^Silent Disco!

Have you ever experienced a silent disco?
Everyone at the party gets a set of head phones.
When wearing the headphones you can tune into 3 different channel frequencies that are linked up to the 3 different DJs, that are playing tracks.
You can tell what station your friend is tuned into by checking out the color of their headphones.

It was pretty cool being able to walk around listening to music while looking at art.
