I put you and our love
On a pedestal
I made you a God
I trusted you enough
To put all
My dreams
My hopes
My fantasies
My fears
And my truths
In the palm of your hand
And I gave them all to you
As an offering
Without hesitation
Without ever realizing
That the only thing you were
Was a devil
Dancing in my pain
And tempting me with everything
I ever wanted and you could have give me
But choose to steal from underneath me instead
