As I love painting with watercolors, I decided to paint something different today other than sceneries . I took the image of an owl for reference and tried to paint it. The shades that I used were of blue and green.

Nice sequence of images. I like the way you caught the texture of the brushwork.
This year I am going digital, having run out of canvas storage space. But adaptation is proving difficult. I am already thinking of going back to paper and paint.

Until this week, acrylics. However, I have just moved to a smaller flat, and my wife spent the whole move frowning at by old canvases and painting paraphernalia. I received a copy of Corel Painter 2017, and was told it would be much better if I became modern, and got rid of the smelly old paints.
I am strictly amateur, its an occasional hobby, and the price of the program was probably more than I have spent on paint and canvases in the last five years. I have spent the last few days creating abstracts, mainly because I cannot draw a straight line using a mouse. I suppose I am going to have to invest in a graphics tablet at some stage.
