History of Rock Music

Rock music is a popular music genre that began to be known in general in the mid 50's. The roots come from rhythm and blues, country music from the 40's and 50's and various other influences. Furthermore, rock music also takes style from a variety of other music, including folk music, jazz and classical music.

Rock music is one of the genres in the world's popular music treasures that are usually dominated by vocals, guitar, drums, and bass. many also with the addition of instruments such as keyboard, piano or synthesizer. Rock music usually has a strong beat and is dominated by guitar, both electric and acoustic.

Also in the 70's, rock evolved into various subgenres such as soft rock, glam rock, heavy metal, hard rock, progressive rock, and punk rock. The rock sub-categories that stuck out in the 80s included New Wave, hardcore punk and alternative rock. In the 90's there were grunge, Britpop, indie rock and nu metal.

In 70's and 80's

Rock combines influences from soul, funk, and latin music. Also in the 70s, rock evolved into various subgenres such as soft rock, glam rock, heavy metal, hard rock, progressive rock, and punk rock. The rock sub-categories that stuck out in the 80s included New Wave, hardcore punk and alternative rock. The examples of rock bands of the 70's and 80's are like Van Hallen (1974), Def Leppard(1977), Europe (1979), Iron Maiden (1975), White Lion (1983), and many more.

In 90's
