11. Victor Wooten

Victor Wooten is a member of the band Bela Fleck and The Flecktones. His name is known as one of the best modern jazz bass player. One little proof of his greatness in playing bass is his success to bring 5 Grammy Award. Bass Player magazine made it the "Bass Player of the Year". He became the only bassist who won the award more than once. In 2000, he began to set up a music camp. We then recognize him as "Victor Wooten's Center for Music and Nature". The location is near Nashville, Tennessee.

12. John Myung

John Ro Myung is a bassist and progressive metal band member, Dream Theater. He is the only Dream Theater member who has Asian blood of Korean origin. John Myung is one of the founders of Dream Theater and the original member of Dream Theater who still survives with John Petrucci. John Myung is a very skilled bass player and also known as the most mysterious Dream Theater personnel. This is because in every live concert or in a video clip he rarely appears. But even so he is known to be very active in giving tutorials on music even if asked about the techniques in playing bass he will explain for a long time. John myung is also one of the highly disciplined Dream Theater personnel in practice proven with him taking the practice every day for six hours with John Petrucci and also he is always doing warming down every concert. Currently John Myung is one of two Dream Theater who remained with John Petrucci after Mike Portnoy decided to quit Dream Theater.

13. Billy Sheehan

Billy Sheehan is a pioneer in the way bass revolution is played. Billy was recruited by David Lee Roth when Roth left Van Halen in '85. (Roth recorded record sales of two platinum albums with Van Halen before soloing his career). Billy Sheehan forming Mr. Big in 1989, the band reached the # 1 Billboard single in the US and 14 other countries with "To Be With You" from 2nd Atlantic Album Records album "Lean Into It". His distinctive style of play has led him to perform more than 4000 live performances on every continent except Africa and Antarctica.

Elected as "Best Rock Bass Player" 5 times in Guitar Player Readers Poll magazine, an honor that puts it in their "Greats Gallery" (with Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee and Eddie Van Halen, etc.), he also won the reader's vote in Germany, Japan, Korea, Italy, and many other countries. On January 27, 1999 Billy put hand prints and signatures stored in cement on the Hollywood Rockwalk at Guitar Center. An honor is attributed to those artists who have made a significant contribution to Rock and Roll.

In Japan, Billy has won 14 consecutive "Player Magazine" (Music Mag # 1 Japan) readers Poll for Best Bass Player (unprecedented) and Burrn Magazine! (mag heavymetal # 1 Japan) readers Poll 5 times, while ticket sales sold out in the Budokan arena 3 nights in a row with his band Mr. Big.

14. Stuart Hamm

Stuart Hamm is an American bass player, known for sessions and works with many artists and also for his unusual style of playing and solo recordings. Hamm graduated from Hanover High in Hanover, New Hampshire in 1978 while living in Norwich, Vermont. After high school, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he met guitarist Steve Vai and through him, Hamm met Joe Satriani. Hamm played bass on Vai's debut solo album, Flex-Able, which was released in 1984. Hamm has performed and recorded with Steve Vai, Frank Gambale, Joe Satriani and many other leading guitarists. It was playing a live tour with Satriani who brought Hamm skills to national attention. Subsequent footage with Satriani and other rock / fusion artists, along with the release of his own solo recordings, strengthens his reputation as a bassist and player.

15. Geddy Lee

Fans of Rush band must be know exactly who the bass player as well as the main vocalist. Yes, Geddy Lee. He learned to play bass by listening and playing with other bass rock players like John Entwistle, Brue Jack and John Paul Jones. In the late 1970's, Lee added a touch of synthesizer to his band's music. He was so good at playing bass while operating the synthesizer using his legs. His efforts had a positive effect on the band's popularity. He is also famous for his ingenuity in tinkering with the pedal effect. Lee was able to create a variety of sounds with his bass. Songs and patterns were so impressed high and quality. In 2013, Lee was inaugurated as "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame".
