I've always admired cathedrals, the immense amount of work and years to build is so impressive. I was a complete reclusive hermit for about 8 months a while back and got the crazy idea to put as many as I could find all on one hillside, so you could see them all in one picture. I spent the next two months, killing an old laptop doing just that. Doing a search for the largest images I could find online was a few days of work, the rest was cutting the out in Photoshop and positioning them. That old laptop was bogging down terribly, but I had nothing but time.
The final image is 60X60 inches and just under a Gig with all the layers. There are only two repeated, so you don't have to look any longer after you've found them. There is one building that is not a church, and that is Big Ben.
This image represents centuries of workers lives. Someday when I can afford it, I'd love to get a full size print of it!
Thanks for stopping by!
Here is a zoomed in crop to better see the detail.
That's very impressive.
