Clouds in the sketch. Markers

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

Today I want to talk about how in the sketch you can depict the clouds. And I have again 3 standard solutions (as well as water was).

So, the first. I fill the sky with a marker, bypassing the clouds and outlining the silhouette of the clouds. The clearer and more interesting the silhouette is, the better the clouds will look. The boundary between the cloud and the sky must be drawn carefully.

The second, contrasting clouds. For this solution, it is also necessary to densely fill the cloud-sky boundary with the marker. And leaving small gaps of light to fill the clouds, but not tightly! The main thing is it should be the same marker. Only the sky marker is denser than on the clouds.

And the third. In the clouds appears a reflex from the surface of the earth. It is very important that the color shown by the reflex on the clouds is present on the surface of the earth. You can not just take some distant warm color, it must necessarily be mixed in the colors that the surface will be.

I tried to explain the difference between the three options. Did I succeed in this?

Thank you for watching!
