COLORFUL FISH MANAGES TO BREATHE: Ilustration - Step by Step + GIF

in art •  6 years ago

The weekend is here dear friends. Greetings from the prehistoric world. This illustration that I bring to you is that of a fish that adapted to breathe air, but it seems that it costs a little work, do not you think?

I hope this colorful fish gets lucky in his adventure.
My motivation for this drawing was a fish that lives in several parts of the world and is able to survive long seasons without water.

¡¡¡... The struggle for survival....!!!

Materials:

6B pencil, eraser, colored pencils, pencil sharpener and paper.

Here I bring the process.

STEP 1

The first strokes always inviting curiosity.

STEP 2

Then I add the base color.

STEP 3

Defining the light tones and giving shadows.

STEP 4

A little dark blue here and a little purple over there.

PASO 5

In this step light and shade are detailed, a little pink and red to give iridescence.

COMPLETED WORK

To the final product I wanted to make sand and waters of an ocher, yellow and brown to give contrast and highlight my protagonist.

Such a cool drawing, Andrea! I love how flappy it is! The animation is so nicely done and I also really like the colours you used here :)

My friend says the fish reminds them of salamanders and I love salamanders so it adds even more awesomeness to this picture !!! :D

A salamander is a good idea ;) You just wait

It's a great idea. I wish that there were fish that would be able to survive season without water. And that would be purple! I love purple! :) It's a lovely GIF. I like the yellow background. It's a great contrast to the color of the fish.

Thank you for sharing and have a great start of the week!

Dipnoi fish can survive totally dry seasons by burying themselves in the mud and practically dissecting.

Love the drawing... reminds me of what we are doing here as Minos on Steemit.... taking a breath and doing this one step at a time!
