A Diary 1: Lion- Hearted

It was one of those bad days for her -- late in the examination and was not able to even take it; the thesis, that she worked really hard, was given a poor feedback. However, as the day ticks she was reminded of something. -- Later that day at a fast-food chain, as she was waiting for her order to come a girl smiled at her weakly and she just couldn't resist from smiling back. From the way that the girl looked with droopy eyes, chapped lips, pale skin, blood- stained teeth and skinny physique she knew that the little girl was sick but the ambiance in her smile was nothing but pure and bright. It was the sweetest.

She got her looking at her constantly (but not creepily). It was amazing to witness such genuineness and braveness in a single little girl, she thought as she sat there dumbfounded.

The girl pointed at her small kids playing around her and somewhat explained to her why she was smiling. She was smiling(happy) despite whatever she's going through. Smiles and Laughs -It was like that for a couple of minutes until she had to finally leave after having her order. The short moment she shared with the little girl felt especially striking.

And then she left with a completely different mood.

Just when she thought her day could be worse, she was reminded how some people have to go through something everyday but don't even speak to complain, how some people choose to paint their own life with colors, how some choose to look at the bright stars instead of the darkness of the night, how some people create something more beautiful with a dim light.

She felt pathetic as she was about to burst her anger on the least reasons.

She was given an opportunity to realize how life is supposed to be lived and loved. That it is in our own hands that we carve our own happiness and it is in God we give our fullest faith to guide as in the road that will lead us to our fate.

A smile that changed her day and might forever change her perspectives in life. A smile and a gift from God.

As she glanced back at the glass door from the fastfood chain, the little girl unmoved in her seat, waved her widest goodbye. She too, waved her sincerest goodbye.

Hi guys, I was not able to keep up for more than a week. I had a lot to do and along with that is our examinations week I just couldn't find a time to do all of this and that, sooo I'm really sorry.

Allow me share another art work (inspired by:

) I put a lot of effort and thoughts in this artwork and story so I'm really hoping you'd appreciate it.

My brother @johnduke couldn't post anything too because it was his examinations as well and unfortunately he broke his phone and got it checked and repaired but he has to wait for another two weeks 'till he gets it back!
