This piece was painted live on a 36" x 48" wooden board, within 4 hours, during a Miami local singer/songwriter music event a few years ago.

@ankapolo Your painting is beautiful!!! The eyes of this portrait are so expressive... they are full of tenderness. I'm already following you. Looking forward to enjoy more of your paintings! I study art and music and practice and love both! If you don't mind, who is the singer songwriter in the venue?

thank you so much @gabrielaesquivel. I wasnt thinking too much about the outcome as i was working on it without much planing, but after it was done, the first thing that was said about it was "in love" and that became the title. There is definitely tenderness, peacefulness... and euphoria happening there. The music was by local Miami rock bands... you live in S. Florida too?

Wow, interesting @ankapolo. Yes, I'm here in South Florida. :) you too?

hey welcome to steemit and thank you for your comment, is that a tattoo you made or is it your tattoo? either way its really nice! you'll do great here!

Thanks for the reply :) yes it is one of the first tattoos I made at our new studio here in the UK ! Again thanks so much, appreciate the feedback! :D

I see there is another blue painting to your left in the photo. You painted that one too? I guess the lady in this painting resembles the real you.

haha, Yes that one is mine to... a fast one i did in one sitting. I do use a lot of blue, with teals and warm contrasts. it does seem that blues dominate a lot of my works...

this is dope....loving the colors you chose here. did u enjoy painting in public...i always have mixed feelings but most the time its super fun...again hella like this piece

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

yeah i definitely have a love-hate relationship with live painting - like when the painting isn't coming out right, you kinda have to suck it up and keep it going... after all, its a performance...
But on other occasions i get in the zone and i love the whole process... plus i get a painting done in 'one sitting' (standing) :)... so it has it's rewards. It also depends on the venue - how much space you get on the stage, illumination, how easy it is to bring my supplies in and out... all these things. ;P

Super true.... its so nice to get a whole piece done at one time and not have to worry bout takin it home to finish and whatnot... i tend to procrastinate to much when that happens lol

The colors really transmit the feeling of being in love...

Aw thank you, i love your comment. i names the painting after it was done, it felt right. :)

Wow. Such a lively and beautiful painting. The flow and temperature changes really pull me in and the depth you established in the face seals the deal.

It sounds like a pretty cool event. I'm down for pretty much any venue where music and art collide. Creative atmosphere must've been jumpin'.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Oh thank you that mean a lot coming from a painter such as yourself. It was a live painting so no time for making taking the time to shade things properly, but i was pretty happy with it. and as far as the venue goes it was amazing! the painting kept people from leaving before the show was over, and we raffles it out in the end. It was a big success! I stopped doing that though cause not every venue was as good of an experience...

Sometimes it is best when we don't have time to do all the things we want in a painting. I think this painting is perfect as is.

This is gorgeous.

thank you so much!

This is awesome i love the color.

thank you :) for a dark room its best to paint as bright as possible

On a wooden board?! that is art among art!

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

haha, thank you! picking the board was a creative exploration on its own.

Sneaky Ninja Attack! You have been defended with a 3.80% vote... I was summoned by @ankapolo! I have done their bidding and now I will vanish...Whoosh

no sneaky ninja you failed, the cost was more than the delivered outcome. Harakiri yourself immediately.

learn how to use bid bots.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

hey @sneaky-ninja, thank you for caring! I actually didn't think that my comment would reach anyone... but since you replied, I hope you don't take my comment as anything more than venting.
i understand how to use bid bots... but its clear that 'last minute bids' can drive the value of the eventual upvote down. So, what would you recommend as a smart strategy? Is there a way to reasonably predict which bid is profitable? I really would appreciate any helpful tip because so far my experience with bid bots hasn't been great.

Beautiful work! I've also done a lot of live painting :) I just posted a new painting of mine on my blog, feel free to check it out and tell me what you think xx.

Thank you so much @hannashermanart, yes i love what you do, and you're a DJ too! you must love the stage!

Beautiful painting, colleague artist, I love finding people with talent and taste for painting like me, you have a very nice style and with a lot of color. Your painting expresses emotions that are left to the viewer.I will follow you and if you wish, you will follow me to share works.

Thank you so much! your horse paintings are lovely as well. followed.

Thank you.

Gorgeous! Do you do any commission work?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

hi, thank you, normally i do, but at the moment i'm booked to the neck :) so it might depend on the kind of commission you have in mind. if its something not too elaborate i might be able to do it. Let me know :)

I was wanting a New Orleans style jazz player. Not picky just want something hanging in my house besides my own art.

Beautiful. I like paintings painted on wood, the texture of the wood makes all the details more interesting

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

thank you! yes and its easier to start when there is a pattern and the warm tone of the wood... i find blank canvas to be a bit intimidating for a live show.

so romantic ! all is said, nothing more is needed. Thank you

thank you so much! <3

I love this one so much, that I'm gonna save it somewhere or even put in my list of wallpapers, such a great job 💙😁

Aw thank you @melooo182! im actually thinking of making some prints... i've made amazing quality prints of this painting them before and they are all gone. So might do another order for the people on steemit, if enough people are interested.

very nice

thank you!

Beautiful 🌸⭐️

Thank you so much @esaia.mystic :) I love your blooming flower star!

@ankapolo, admire how you managed to paint so quick and good in public..Never been good in that :)

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Thank you sister! I was really happy with this one too... i always feel stressed before such event, because I dont plan what i'm going to paint... most of the time though, i can find that sweet spot in the composition and just get in the zone with it... of course, i do have a couple of failures that I painted over after the show.

i love your paintings, Your colors are vivid and your style is expressive. I feel that we lack of that kind of art in the production digital world haha, so thank you for sharing this =D

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

thank you @alcy! there is so much good digital art out there, some of it has a lot of emotive and traditional sense about it, but there is definitely some challenge and value in not having the undo button :)

My god, you have a great talent. Your paint capched very fast!

thank you so much!

Stunning.

thank you!

I love these colours :)

thank you so much!!!
