I made this quick painting from a sketch i made several months ago. I felt like sharing it today, but it needed some color... And as it happens, there was a redish glow in my window from the setting sun, so I used it in painting.

The world is roaring and turning upside down. Creatures are dying. :-(

hmm... you just inspired me to do another painting.

maaan, you have so much talent for the glow. its electric

thank you sir Basil! <3

I can feel the utter anguish in this one, and how the setting sun seems to emphasize that emotion. Stunning!

aw girl, thank you so much! i don't know why, but anguish always seems to pour out in my art, i love it though, in all art forms.

beautiful artwork. how long does it take you to paint a picture like this?

Thank you @vikingliveaboard! actually this one was done kinda quickly, i didn't try to perfect any details, just color and mood. :)

Wowww! The colors and lighting are simply gorgeous!
What medium is this? I feel like it's pastel but also possibly digital, because of the background, or maybe watercolors?
Edit: just saw another comment :D Still definitely could confuse for traditional ^^

haha, thank you so much @kristyglas. I wont lie i was trying to make it look as traditional as possible... but i think the bright glow of the reds and yellows gives it away as digital work. :)

That is so fucking cool hahaha, well done!

thank you! :D

Both versions are good, very good :) Can't tell which I love more, drawing is excellent but color version is live. Great as usual @ankapolo :)

Thank you sister! both the sketch and the colored one were made in the heat of the moment, so they each have their own intensity...

Oh this is great!!! 🌹🌹🌹
watercolour?
I saw some tutorials about doing watercolour effect digitally, although haven't been able to do them correctly hehe, I'm all on doing digital art now as well it's cheaper 😛, though I have a bunch of bristol A4 which I could use to experiment with real watercolours or tempera

ahaha, yeah, digital definitely can spoil you - with layers, undo button, effects, color picker... no mess, no prep, resize all you want ,and boom, done lol.

Dope as usual... love that pen sketch!

thank you <3

Thats brutal!!!

ahaha thank you!

Nice watercolor effect. I really like the sketch as well.

thank you @salzuhand! i'm glad you like both, i was very happy with the initial sketch for a while... but felt that a little color will really intensify the emotion.

Wow , truly beautiful ! what media did you use to create this piece?

thank you!
I used photoshop. with a fairly simple brush settings:

Oh yes!! I thought this was actually real watercolour!
